    Biography:
        Ridolfo Ghirlandaio (1483-1561) Ridolfo Ghirlandaio was the son and pupil of a Florentine artist Domenico Ghirlandaio. His style, though, wasn' modeled after his father's, but after that of Raphael and Leonardo da Vinci. He was a friend of Raphael. Ridolfo Ghirlandaio was mostly known as a portraitist. Portrait of a Lady (1509) was instired by Raphael's Florentine portraits, such as 'La Gravida'. This painting came to the Medici collection as part of the dowry of Vittoria della Rovere, the Duchess of Urbino. Both scenes with the episodes from St. Zenobius life take place in the streets of Florence: on St. Zenobius Raising a Boy from the Dead piazza of San Pier Maggiore is depicted, on Conveyance of the Body of St. Zenobius is Duomo and Baptistry. These two paintings became the side panels for Annunciation by Albertinelli for the altar of the Company of San Zanobi in the Duomo. ....
